Tupperware Executive, Phil Smart, Receives Top Honor for Fundraising Efforts

Phil Smart, Vice President of Information Technology for Tupperware Americas, was recently named Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Rookie of the Year by the Corporate Board of Directors of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida (BGCCF).

BGCCF Youth of the Year 2013 Winner & Finalists

Congratulations to the 2013 Kiwanis Club of Orlando Foundation Youth of the Year Winner, Lastacia Upshur! We are also excited to congratulate Lastacia on her most recent accomplishment in being named the 2013 State of Florida Youth of the Year Winner! She will now go on to compete at the southeast regional level.

Disney Helping Kids Shine Grant Awarded to BGCCF!

This March, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida received a grant in the amount of $100,000 from Walt Disney World Resort as part of this year’s Disney Helping Kids Shine grants program.

Our board chair, Ric Cieslak, accepted the grant during an event at the Orlando Repertory Theatre that included Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Disney Cast Members. These funds will directly benefit programming at the Tupperware Brands Branch and the Walt Disney World Clubhouse. This year’s grant recipients were chosen for being organizations in Central Florida that inspire creativity and innovation in children, encourage a sense of compassion for others and promote health and well-being of families.

Syd & Marianne Levy Service Center Dedication

In a St. Patrick’s Day-themed event earlier this March, we officially dedicated the Syd & Marianne Levy Service Center, the new workplace for our Administrative Team.

The Levy Family–Syd and his late wife Marianne–have made significant contributions to BGCCF throughout the years and contributed $1 million to help make the Service Center a reality.

We are grateful to everyone who played a role in helping to bring the Service Center to life. Thank You!
