Do Something 101: School Supplies for Kids in Need

This summer, Twilight actress Nikki Reed is teaming up with Staples and DoSomething.org for the 3^rd Annual Staples/Do Something 101 Supply Drive. The program encourages teens to collect and donate school supplies at their local Staples store to support kids in need within their community. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida has been selected to participate in this program and receive donations - but we need your help! Support our Club members who need supplies to return to school prepared to learn and succeed. Donations can be dropped of at any local Staples store until September 18.

Additionally, Staples customers will have the opportunity to participate by donating $1 at any U.S. Staples store location. Find out more about the program at DoSomething101.org.

KaBOOM! Playground Built in One Day!

Thank you to our generous friends at Walt Disney World Resort for helping to make our dream playground a reality on May 8. This playground, designed by our Walt Disney World Branch Club members, was built in one day and we thank all of our Disney VoluntEARS, community volunteers and supporters!

Youth of the Year

Congratulations to our local and state Youth of the Year winner from the East Altamonte Branch, Tonjanika Smith. Her upcoming life ventures include competing at the regional Youth of the Year level, graduating high school with a 4.23 grade point average and entering the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall. We wish Tonjanika continued success in life, academics and in career!
