Community Leader Testimonial
Dr. Clara Walters, a respected instructional leader and retired principal of Jones High School, assessed the design and implementation of the Club Tutor Program offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.
“The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida SES Program is an excellent concept because it helps students make the attitude adjustment that
learning is fun.
Tutoring only improves student achievement if it successfully hits the target. The target is the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards assessed by the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT). Club Tutor is “hitting the target” because all the checks are in place.
I highly endorse this program!”
Dr. Clara L. Walters

I learned how to pass the FCAT. Now I have A’s and B’s and I’m on the honor roll!”
