Club Member Receives VIP Treatment at Stanley Cup

Published on June 8, 2015 under Club Programming

A Club member at our Walt Disney World Clubhouse had the hockey experience of a lifetime at the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs! Alexa visited Amalie Arena in Tampa with her Service Director, Jose, to watch the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 2 of the finals.

Alexa earned the exciting opportunity because of her participation in My.Future, an initiative sponsored by NBCUniversal that is designed to teach Club members the technology skills needed to thrive in today’s digital world. Her academic success, leadership at her Club and community service efforts made her the perfect candidate for the trip when our supporters at NBCUniversal offered two tickets to the big game.

Alexa and Jose were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of Amalie Arena including the NBC control room, announcement box and the play-by-play box. They even got to watch the players warm up outside the locker room before taking their seats for the game.

Thank you to our friends at NBCUniversal for this incredible opportunity!
