Gifts that Pay You Income

What if you could empower children to have successful futures and also receive funds to make your own retirement more financially secure or pass on to your loved ones? You can! See which of these Planned Giving vehicles may give you income for life, reduce your tax burden and help our Club members reach their full potential in life!

Charitable Gift Annuities

You can transfer cash or appreciated property to Boys & Girls Clubs and receive fixed income payments for life, receive an immediate charitable deduction, and avoid capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated property. A charitable gift annuity (CGA) requires a minimum gift of $10,000 and typically a donor is 60 years of age. Fixed payments can start within a year of creating the CGA or at a time your payments would be more beneficial like retirement. A “deferred” Charitable Gift Annuity can be created at any age and payments begin later in life usually after 60 years old.

Here are more details that might be helpful to you regarding a Charitable Gift Annuity.

Charitable Remainder Trust

You can transfer appreciated property to this irrevocable trust and receive an immediate charitable tax deduction, avoid current capital gains taxes on long-term appreciated property and receive regular payments during your life. Upon your passing, the remainder left in the Trust will transfer to Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.
